You arrive at Gardeners Cottage to find an open-plan ground floor where the kitchen, dining and living areas flow together—ideal for families or groups to gather. Beyond that sits a second lounge with a wood burner for quieter evenings. Upstairs are three bedrooms: two with king beds and one with singles, served by two bathrooms. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking, with an induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included, along with Wi-Fi throughout.
Outside, the property sits within 25 acres of woodland grounds with a private enclosed garden, patio courtyard and a hot tub for six. There's a substantial dog kennel on-site and parking for three cars. The location is a mile from Huntly town and surrounded by forest walks, lochs and rivers for fishing. Pets stay free and come with extras provided by the owners. The property is non-smoking.

This place is outstanding the level of detail and quality is evident throughout the property. The hot tub is huge and several different settings you can use . Large enclosed gardens are ideal for your dog and there is even a heated kennel if you want to go out for a few hours without your furry friends. The property also has a handy ev charger for your car . The only downside is the bedrooms are at the top of some quite steep stairs so might be a problem for the less mobile amongst you. This place would be fantastic for a young family holiday too as there is plenty of space for kids to run around the garden. Painting rocks and hiding them or playing in the woods.

What a fantastic place. This was our third time this year we've stayed at this cottage. The accommodation is excellent with, by far the best hot tub in all the 12 cottages we've been to so far this year. The large well kept garden is dog secure and with the benefit of a large outdoor kennel. The cottage is only 5 minutes away from the town of Huntly for food shopping and a couple of good restaurants. Road access to Aberdeen and Inverness is brilliant with Lecth ski resort less than an hour away. A well stocked welcome basket was a lovely surprise with a bonus of treats for Leeloo the Fenchy and a secret stash of chocolate for me which I only found after 2 days... LOL. Maybe not this year but I'm sure we will be back near future. Just booked a week in January 2026.
