Going Coastal is a two-bedroom cottage in Cairnbulg, Aberdeenshire, built in the early 1900s as a fisherman's home. It works well for couples, families with children, or small groups of four, and one dog can stay free. The whole place is yours alone, with parking for two cars on site and a garden with seating, furniture and a chiminea.
Downstairs there is a living room with a woodburner and a 65-inch Smart TV, plus a separate dining room. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and coffee machine, with a utility room containing a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs, two bedrooms each have a kingsize bed. The single bathroom has a bath with shower over. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. No smoking throughout.
The village sits close to the coast—Cairnbulg harbour and sandy beaches with rock pools are within walking distance. Inverallochy Golf Club, formed in 1884 and overlooking the sea, is a five-minute walk away. The Fraserburgh Lighthouse Museum explores local maritime history, and the RSPB Loch of Strathbeg is a short drive for bird-watching. Peters Ices is nearby for a classic seaside stop.
