Aberdeenshire

Pennan Lodge is a ground-floor cottage on a working farm headland outside Pennan village, Aberdeenshire. You get a double bedroom, shower room, and an open-plan living and dining space with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking – electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine and the rest. The layout is straightforward and everything you need is on one level, two steps to the entrance.
The cottage sits on the edge of Troup Head, a nature reserve and the only UK mainland gannet colony. Seals are visible in the bay most days; further out, whales and dolphins appear regularly. Beyond the immediate wildlife, Cullykhan Beach lies nearby down a steep path, and the clifftop villages of Crovie and Gardenstown are within reach for exploration. A pub is a quarter-mile away; shops and restaurants are 4 miles distant. The surrounding coastline falls within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with extensive walking routes.
The cottage is your own space entirely, with parking on site, wi-fi, and heating included. An enclosed garden with seating and a barbecue looks out across the headland. There is a shared bike store and a games room with table tennis and air hockey if weather keeps you indoors. No smoking inside. A travel cot is available on request.
