I would say the overall experience of this place (even if it was for one night) was subpar. Ok, if you're really wanting facilities (emptying waste, fresh water etc) but it's quite expensive for what you get. The electric hook up was really all it was worth the money for. The toilets were manky, shite up the pan, half the cubicles missing toilet roll and the showers, the showers! It's the old school baths cubicles where you press the button and you get a lukewarm shower for 4-5 seconds.. and continuously having to press it to have an actual wash and not freeze your baws off. I would guess it's more to save money, rather than customer experience. You're also requested to mop it out yourself afterwards, which is fair enough. I can understand this. We arrived late and the electric hook up is all done by app and quite fiddly. So if you're not technologically inclined, arrive early when there is staff. Overall, Id give a very Veryyyyy fair 3 stars. Stayed in far better campsites for the price. Good: Location Clean site overall Bad: Showers Toilets

Perfect location, right next to the town, with good walks from the site. The park grounds are well looked after, the other facilities are dated but clean. Very expensive and extra charges, as the electricity is metered, which generally takes it to around £50 a night, definitely not worth it, has good availability, this is possibly due to the costs, the other thing that annoyed me was setting up the electricity on your phone, god help you if your not too tech savvy, we had issues because the meter didn't work, but the girl on site made some phone call to get it working. Wouldn't want the stress again especially if arriving after 5 when the staff leave. That said I found the staff that I dealt with very pleasant and helpful.

Unfortunately, this campground was the worst one on our entire 5-week trip to Scotland. Although the owner was very friendly when we arrived, the campground itself—and especially the restrooms—are in pretty poor condition. The value for money here is absolutely not there! For that reason, we unfortunately cannot recommend this campground.

Do not come here if you are in a tent. The tent pitches have no drainage and will ruin your gear. I arrived after a long hike on the Rob Roy Way after the reception had already closed. My email gave me a pitch number 904. They do not have a pitch 904. I didn't have the energy to be messed around so I set up on one of the empty tent pitches that didn't have dog mess and tire marks all over it. All through the night there are dogs and children running around, adults shouting and drinking. Not a relaxing vibe at all. When I woke up the ground was completely waterlogged. My tent was in mudbath and it was very unpleasant getting out and packing it away caked in mud. There has been no effort to improve the drainage of the tent pitches at all. Past reviews point to this being an issue before. Definitely not worth the premium this site demands for a tent pitch. You're better off wild camping in the hills just outside of town for free.
