What guests say
Basic hotel with great location right in the center of Aberfeldy. There is also private parking available from the back of the building. Lady at the reception was nice and she showed me around. My room was small but for 1 night it was OK. It had its own bathroom. Everything seemed to be clean. There was also soap and towels. Heating and Wi-Fi were also working. However check in time is very limited, only from 4pm til 7pm. Absolutely ridiculous. They lock doors at 7pm and that's it. 3 hours time window is very short. Some self check in option would be great.

Stayed here twice this month to go hill walking. I chose a single attic room which was perfectly adequate for one person. It overlooked the square so a bit of people and traffic noise but this died down after 11 pm. Not luxury but great value for money. The hotel is unmanned with a check in window of 14 to 17 pm which must be respected.

Great central location right in the heart of town, which made everything easy to walk to. The facilities were quite basic, but everything was clean and functional. The staff were very friendly and made us and our large dog very welcome. The building itself is dated, but considering it’s age, that’s part of its character and charm. Overall, a comfortable stay if you’re looking for somewhere convenient

We arrived at the hotel at 9:00 PM after a long and exhausting hike, only to discover that the hotel was completely closed. There was no staff present and no way to access the property. We called the phone number provided multiple times, but nobody was able to help us. Despite having a confirmed reservation and having already paid for our room, we were simply left standing outside with nowhere to go. It is unbelievable that a hotel can take guests’ money, confirm a booking, and then provide absolutely no way to check in or contact someone who can assist. After a long day of hiking, the last thing anyone expects is to be effectively left on the street at night. This was not just inconvenient—it was unacceptable and extremely stressful. A hotel’s most basic responsibility is to provide the accommodation that guests have paid for. In our case, they completely failed to do so. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere unless you are willing to risk arriving and finding yourself locked out with no support whatsoever.
