NF Glamping

We booked Penhein for our wedding in June 2025. I am rudely late writing this review, and even now, months later, I feel tearful writing it because of how absolutely perfect Penhein made our wedding weekend. Part of me wants to gatekeep this gorgeous slice of pure heaven - the fact that Helen is kind enough to share it how she does is an absolute gift to the world. From the start, Helen and Teresa were so friendly and welcoming and helpful, and also so understanding of us as a couple - we are the (honestly nightmare) combination of very busy and very laidback, and the team weren't pushy at all and were so forgiving of us being slow replying to emails and not having answers for questions. We also had a very unexpected emergency on our day, and Helen was easily the calmest, most controlled, and most understanding person in quite a scary situation. It's really quite insane to think about what actually happened on that day, and how little of a real impact it somehow made to our wedding day thanks to the actions of the Penhein team. We used a lot of their recommended suppliers, all of whom were incredible, kind, understanding, easy to work with, and truly understood the site. Highly recommend taking all of Penhein's recommendations! In terms of the venue itself, it really cannot be truly communicated just how beautiful it is. Our guests were mindblown by the site, and there were multiple times I walked around by myself and just had a little happy cry, listening to the birds singing, taking in the view, and feeling like the luckiest person on earth to be there. At night it is somehow even more beautiful - twinkling fairylights in the trees, roaring campfires, and the feeling of being so at home in the world. Just the perfect, perfect venue.

Best holiday ever. This is my 2nd stay at Penhein which, in itself, is testament to how lovely it was/is. The first visit was with my son - without my husband, his father - who is more into ‘glam’ and not keen to “glamp”. Before our 2nd stay, my son and I talked him into joining us. At the end of this stay my husband declared without asking, "this is the best holiday I can ever remember having". This is from a man who's been around the world and stayed at the most luxourous hotels (Ritz, Four Seasons, etc). We plan to return again and my only hope is that this review doesn't hinder our being able to book again.

An amazing glamping destination and perfect place for a family stay. The alachigh tents were fabulous - clean and luxurious, we were able to settle in right away. Cooking outside was great fun each evening and we felt we got the camping experience without scarifying too many of the comforts or conveniences. The on site play area is great and there’s lots to do in the surrounding areas. We couldn’t recommend this more for a short family break!

A Magical Glamping Experience at Pehheim in Wales. We recently stayed at Chepstow Pehheim in South Wales, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Nestled among beautiful woods, open meadows, and fields where cows and goats lazily graze, it felt like we’d stepped into our own peaceful countryside retreat. We hired three of their gorgeous tents, set apart from the rest, giving us privacy and the feeling of having our own slice of nature. Each tent was beautifully kept, neat, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need — super comfortable bedding, a cosy sofa bed, cooking facilities, and even a toilet. Everything was well-maintained and spotlessly clean. One of the highlights was having exclusive use of Petro, the spacious dining area, along with a huge barbecue and fire pit. From there, the view was absolutely breathtaking — we could actually see across to England. In the evening, as the sun set and the sky darkened, the sight of the full moon rising alongside the twinkling lights in the distance was pure magic. What really stood out was how well-equipped everything was. If there was ever anything extra we needed, the tidy and well-organised communal area had it ready for us. Pehheim is the perfect blend of comfort, nature, and charm — a place where you can truly unwind, enjoy the fresh air, and make beautiful memories. We can’t wait to return!
