About Seven Hills Hideaway
There's no need to rough it at Seven Hills Hideaway, a glamping retreat on a 16th-century Monmouthshire farm just ten minutes from Abergavenny. The safari tents strike that lovely balance between outdoorsy and indulgent – spacious communal living areas, proper ensuites, camping kitchens, and covered verandahs with views across the Bannau Brycheiniog. Everything's laid out when you arrive: wood for the log burner, bed linen, towels, even kitchen basics and toiletries.
Days here revolve around hiking the nearby trails, exploring Monmouthshire's rich history, or simply lingering on-site while children visit the resident alpacas and goats or paddle in the stream. Adults tend to gravitate towards the hot tub or a good book on the verandah, mountain backdrop included. The welcome is genuinely warm, the setting peaceful and secluded – you really do feel tucked away. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome for an additional charge, making this an easy choice for families who refuse to leave anyone behind.

What visitors say
We had the most amazing (last minute) stay at Seven Hills. We wanted something full equipped, dog-friendly, with a touch of luxury. The 6 person safari tent, with hot-tub was incredible. So well laid out and with lovely little touches including fairy-lights, faux flowers, and super comfy beds. Thoroughly recommend. We were 40 mins from Waterfall Country, and 20 minutes from Sugar Loaf - really well positioned for any of the Black Mountains. Less than 10 mins away from a Waitrose and Petrol Station. Have given 4 stars for service, only because we didn’t actually meet/see anyone. The whole thing is self service, but their communication on WhatsApp was good.

4 of us (2 adults & 2 kids) stayed at seven hills for the weekend and we can’t wait to go back. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable with a fantastic bathroom. The outdoor space was fab and kids had a great time with each pitch having plenty of individual space. We explored the site and the kids had a great time play outside all weekend. There are plenty of places to explore nearby too. The hosts were always quick responding and even came by to say hi. We will definitely return again. The only improvement for me would be to have a coffee machine.

We enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay in May and found nothing to complain about. The ‘tents’ are spacious clean and clean with all conveniences you need, while still giving a camping feel. Bed was comfortable, all linen was clean and fresh and good quality shower/bathroom facilities were provided. Nobody bothers you, it’s very private and you feel very relaxed and safe. My only negative would be the drive into the property which is badly in need of resurfacing and needs the bush on each side cutting back to avoid all brambles/branches scratching the car. It was our first experience glamping and we will definitely do again. A fantastic place to stay and would thoroughly recommend.

I couldn’t recommend this place more! Myself and my partner spent 3 nights here in October. It is the perfect place to go to switch off. The local surrounding area is beautiful and there are lots of walking routes, or you can travel slightly further afield to the surrounding towns and Brecon Beacons. The tents are super spacious and so well equipped that you wouldn’t even have to leave the site should you choose not to! There is plenty of space between each tent, making them feel completely private. The safari tents were much more substantial than I had imagined and felt very luxurious, and we were kept nice and warm with a little help from the fire. Cannot praise this place enough and we will definitely be back 😊
