We visited on the May Bank Holiday weekend when everyone knew a heatwave was coming, so we expected it to be busy. We met the owners, who were lovely, and even they said it would be busy. But we were pleasantly surprised that even though it was fully booked, it didn’t actually feel that crowded. Yes, you had to think strategically about when to have a shower, but apart from that, we loved our stay. Everyone had plenty of space and enough privacy. The amenities are all you need, the walk to the beach is great, and the beach itself is lovely. The surrounding area is stunning too, with Aberystwyth, the Cambrian Mountains, and more beautiful beaches all just a short drive away. We’ll definitely be back!

Lovely peaceful location, in east reach of everything you want in the Rheidol valley and Aberystwyth. 10 mins to Clarach Bay and the clubhouse of you wanted food/bar. Shower is very spacious and free, which is unusual in my experience of campsites! Toilets clean, plenty of space and it's refreshing to not be told which cm of the field you can occupy! Dog friendly. I really appreciate the clear efforts to make the stay as sustainable as possible. Don't forget your bin bags and recycling bags.

Stayed here many times over the last four years. Lovely relaxing location. Really enjoy spending the evening watching the wildlife and the sun setting beyond the end of the valley / Clarach Bay. The owners are a wonderful couple and a real pleasure to chat to. Will definitely be returning.

Camped up for the night while out on my motorbike. Perfect views of Bala lake, well kept site with nice clean toilets and showers. A friendly family ran business Id recommend a stay.
