About Queensbridge Hotel
Rooms at the Queensbridge Hotel come with en-suite bathrooms and the option of drinks on request, with many looking straight out over the Aberystwyth seafront. It's worth knowing that some rooms are showing their age, though the outlook from the windows tends to make up for it. Staff are on hand around the clock at the 24 hour reception, and the team has a reputation for being helpful and attentive throughout a stay.
Breakfast is a particular strength, with a wide spread on offer each morning, and there's a bar on site along with a garden for guests who want to sit outside. Free on-site parking is available, which is useful given the hotel's Victoria Terrace address. As with many independent hotels, it's worth confirming a booking closer to the date, as last-minute cancellations have been known to happen.
The location puts the coast on the doorstep, with watersports, fishing and cycling all nearby, plus walking routes for those who prefer dry land. Golf and horse riding are within reach too, and there are pubs, restaurants and other eateries close by for evenings out. Pets are welcome, making it a straightforward base for exploring Aberystwyth and the surrounding Ceredigion coastline.
What guests say
Fab location, some friendly staff however my biggest concern is the fact that the heating is on in reception area and dining room where breakfast is served. I was told it's broken and they can't turn it off. Absolutely unacceptable in the middle of a heatwave. Room unbearably hot. Was given a fan after asking several times. Unfortunately it's not sufficient in cooling me or the room down. Woke up every morning with a headache and very stuffy nose due to the heat. Hotel and rooms very dated. Mostly clean. Breakfast is decent but eating in the dining room with the heating on is awful and makes it less enjoyable. Definitely not worth the £1000+ we paid for 2 rooms 5 nights.

Great location on the waterfront with free parking behind another building on a first serve basis. Own room was serviced daily and the staff were very helpful. However the building is very dated and the furniture in our room looked like it had come from a charity shop. The lift is not working so using the stairs are steep & short. Breakfast was very basic as far as quality goes. Expensive for what you get.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I had a confirmed booking for two rooms in Aberystwyth from 23–25 May through Booking.com. Approximately one hour before arrival, while already travelling with my family, the hotel contacted me and cancelled the reservation due to overbooking. What made the situation even worse was that after cancelling my two booked rooms (which originally cost around £590 total), I was offered only ONE replacement room for approximately £550. Because this happened at the very last minute during a busy weekend, there was virtually no accommodation left anywhere in Aberystwyth or surrounding areas. My family was left stranded on the road late at night trying to find somewhere to sleep. This level of management and customer care is completely unacceptable. A confirmed reservation should mean something. Cancelling guests one hour before arrival, especially families travelling long distance, shows a total lack of professionalism and responsibility. If there were less than one star available, I would happily give it to them. I strongly advise future guests to think carefully before relying on a booking with this property, especially during busy periods, as your reservation may not actually be secure.

Stayed one night. Very friendly welcome. Room was basic but nice and clean with sea view. Wi-Fi was a bit weak signal but sufficient. The breakfast was amazing, great value for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty on offer and they had gluten free bread for toast. Didn’t try the bar/lounge. Decors a bit dated but didn’t¡t take away from what was a nice one night stay. Would definitely stay again.
