About Bodalwyn Guest House

Bodalwyn occupies a restored Edwardian townhouse thirty seconds from North Beach, around a ten-minute walk from the town centre. It combines a six-bedroom guest house with three self-catering apartments, giving visitors a choice of a traditional B&B stay or more independent accommodation.

Rooms are individually decorated, several en-suite and some with sea views, and free Wi-Fi runs throughout the property. The period architecture has been kept largely intact behind a modernised interior.

It is a four-star rated guest house, pet-friendly, and a popular choice for anyone who wants a quieter stretch of the seafront within easy reach of the castle and cliff railway.

The location is great. Not to far from bars and restaurants, but far enough to be so quiet at night. Very easy contact less check in. Simple clear instructions. The room... was great. Large, cosy, clean & comfortable. I had room 4, a twin. It was perfect. Comfy bed, plenty of storage, generous tea/coffee supplies. The bathroom was also perfect...large space, spotless and a huge bath should you want one... Had a great night's sleep... We stayed here on the first leg of my Lad & Dad Wales tour... and I would not hesitate to stay again... Thank you

Had a visit to my University town with my wife. 30 years after I graduated. I chose this guest house as it was in the quieter and in my view nicer part of the town with access to the promenade, parking, town center and constitution hill. The accommodation was excellent. Bed very comfortable. Totally recommend a stay if visiting Aberystwyth.

The guest house was lovely, great location and plenty of space in the rooms. However the service wasn’t that great, we stayed for two nights and the girl was in such a rush to leave the reception desk on the Saturday. We had NO hot water for 2 nights, and no housekeeping. ☹️

The staff at the Bodalwyn guest house really saved us from a difficult situation. We were originally booked in another hotel nearby but that hotel had a very strong odor/possibly an exhaust leak from the furnace. My mom ended up having an asthma attack and we just couldn’t stay in that hotel. We walked over to the Bodalwyn in the dark and they scrambled to get a room together for us even though it was after hours. The room was clean (no odor), the beds were comfortable, and of course the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We very much appreciated them assisting us!
