What visitors say
We arrived by bike for one night in late May. We were staying in the small hut. The campsite itself is fine, the pod and general facilities being nice and clean. Fiona was very welcoming and approachable. Our only issue was that we felt that the touring vans that were parked next to us were way too close. There was no way there was the required legal 6 metre gap between units. I’m surprised that they are allowed to park in this way. We had 3 touring vans really close to us (2 visible in pic). You could have leaned out of our balcony (decking area) and touched the white camper van. As others have pointed out, the site is definitely not peaceful, what with the main train line and M74 being relatively close by. That said, peace is subjective, so only our opinion.

Mixture of statics and touring pitches. Beautiful spot with lovely walk down to the river, and on no. 74 cycle route which can walk along too. Our dogs loved it. We came last year and returned this year. Only stayed one night on our way north but wish we could stay longer. Fiona, our host, is really warm and friendly, as are other staff too. Definitely recommend coming.
