Creel Cottage

Creel Cottage is a traditional end-terraced cottage in the village of Auchmithie, built in the era when this stretch of Angus coast depended on fishing. Originally two separate properties, it has remained in the same family for generations and retains the character of that heritage while offering modern comfort. Everything is on the ground floor across a living space, kitchen, games room and two bedrooms, making it practical for a range of guests.

The cottage sleeps 4 with a king bed in one room and two singles in the other, served by a bathroom with bath and shower. A kitchen with oven, hob and microwave lets you self-cater; the living room has a smart TV and wood-effect heater; the games room comes stocked with books, DVDs and a dartboard. Wi-Fi, heating and all linen are provided. Dogs stay free and the owner supplies beds and bowls.

Auchmithie's pebbly beach lies within a mile, backed by sandstone cliffs and caves. Arbroath, famous for its smoked fish, is a short drive away with shops, harbourside restaurants and the Abbey. Inland the Angus Glens suit walkers, while Montrose Basin and Lunan Bay beaches are nearby. Dundee is also within easy reach. No smoking inside.
