Gleneffock Farmhouse is a detached four-bedroom property on the Dalhousie Estate in Glenesk, near Brechin in Angus. The ground floor holds a sitting room with a wood-burning stove and Freeview TV, a separate dining room, and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs, the kitchen has an Aga, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer—everything needed to cook properly rather than make do. Two further bedrooms are on this level, alongside a bathroom with bath and shower, and a separate shower room.

Four bedrooms sleep eight guests. The largest has a zip-and-link super-king bed that can become two singles on request; a second bedroom offers the same flexibility; a third has a double bed; and the fourth contains two single beds. One well-behaved pet stays free. Essentials including electricity, heating oil, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. The property is entirely yours for the duration, with parking for eight cars on site. No smoking throughout.

The estate sits within walking and cycling distance of the Angus countryside. Brechin, a few miles away, has medieval architecture and a castle. Glamis Castle and Edzell Castle are nearby for days out, and the property makes a base for exploring this stretch of Perthshire and Angus without the tourist crush of more famous destinations.
