Small, adults-only Certificated Site by the Dee at Dinnet, near Ballater
About Firbank Park
Firbank Park is a small, adults-only touring site at Dinnet on Royal Deeside, set across four acres of mature woodland about six miles east of Ballater. Operating as a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Site, it's limited to a handful of pitches and reserved for members, which keeps things notably peaceful. Each generously spaced hardstanding pitch has electric hook-up and a fresh water point, and the tree cover lends a secluded, private feel you won't find on larger parks. A small number of shepherd's huts are also available if you'd rather not tow your own accommodation.
Named Certificated Location of the Year for Scotland and Northern Ireland in 2024, the site is well kept and welcoming to dogs on leads. Its position just outside Dinnet puts Ballater, Aboyne and the Muir of Dinnet nature reserve all within easy reach. Booking is direct with the site rather than through a general platform, so contacting them ahead of your visit is advised.

Enjoyed a fantastic week stay here. We originally booked for five nights but extended to a eight nights as it was so nice. It has a lovely feeling off being big but little. Lots of space but only six spaces. Dog friendly and with lots of walking trails from the site. Easy access for the largest of caravans or fifth wheelers. Great place to explore the local area from.

This was just a very lucky wee find. Site is spacious and immaculate. Small toilet/information centre spotless. No shower so be best for self contained vans. Members area and non members area too. Beautiful area and lots of places to explore. Justine just the most welcoming host with lots of information on the area. Nothing was too much trouble. We will most definitely be back.

The bramble shepherds hut was beautiful, felt really private and had great facilities with its own shower and wc, hot tub, bbq and cosy place to sit out. The hut and whole site was immaculate and the hut in a very large space which felt private. In a perfect location for walking and mountain biking. Would definitely recommend!

Loverly site no showers but on pitch water and very clean and tidy site with clean and tidy toilet. Owners are very helpful and friendly. Lots of amazing walks from the site with ancient Oak woodland behind. Dog friendly ( dogs on leads) only a few hard standings but very well spaced out for privacy with very dark site at night for Star Gazing.
