Kirriemuir is a historic market town in Angus where most attractions cluster within walking distance. Kirk Wynd Cottage sits on a peaceful lane just off the main thoroughfare, giving you the feel of a rural retreat while staying close to the town centre. The cottage itself is compact and characterful, decorated with handmade soft furnishings and quirky details throughout.

Ground floor holds an open-plan living and dining area with a wood-burning effect fire, and a kitchen equipped for self-catering with electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms: a double and a single. The bathroom is tucked ingeniously into the space under the stairs, with bath and shower over. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. There is private parking for one car on site.

From here you can visit J M Barrie's birthplace, the Camera Obscura for views across the Grampians, or drive to Glamis Castle and the cities of Perth and Dundee. The Angus Glens begin just beyond town and are excellent for walking. Golf courses, fishing and equestrian facilities are all in the locality. No smoking is permitted, and the cottage is not suitable for children under 10 years old.
