An Airigh is a recently built cottage designed for year-round comfort using air source heating, underfloor warmth throughout, and heat recovery ventilation in every room. Large picture windows frame views across the water from the open-plan kitchen and living area, with sliding doors opening onto the garden. The wood burner anchors a sitting room lined with books, maps and games; a separate covered porch fronts the property.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms. The master has a king bed and en-suite shower; the second holds a super king that converts to twin beds, served by a family bathroom. Both rooms have quality mattresses and sheep's wool duvets. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking; essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. Parking is at the front door, and the beach and jetty in Newton village are a 30-second walk away.
The garden wraps around the house and borders a beck that flows into the loch. One well-behaved pet stays free. The surrounding area holds several award-winning restaurants within a few miles, and the Cairndow location puts you on the Cowal Peninsula, suited to exploring Argyll's coast or using the cottage as a base for day trips. No smoking inside.

One of our most beautiful holiday accommodations – simply dreamy! We've stayed in many lovely holiday homes, but An Airigh (Gaelic for mountain cabin) is certainly one of the most beautiful we've ever stayed in. We felt incredibly comfortable here from the very first moment and would have loved to stay much longer. The location right on Loch Fyne is simply breathtaking. The stunning view of the loch and the wonderful tranquility make this place truly special. At the same time, the accommodation is a perfect base for excursions to Inveraray, Loch Lomond, Oban, and other destinations, as well as for beautiful hikes and boat trips. The holiday home itself is beautiful and furnished with incredible attention to detail. It truly lacks nothing – everything has been thought of. The furnishings provide everything you could wish for a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday. The two bedrooms are beautifully furnished, and we slept very well in the comfortable beds. The two bathrooms are also beautiful and each has a wonderful rain shower – just what you need to unwind after an eventful day. Our absolute favorite spot was the beautiful veranda. Sitting there, enjoying the peace and quiet, and gazing out over Loch Fyne was simply wonderful. It's moments like these that make a holiday unforgettable. Even upon our arrival, we received a very special welcome: a bottle of whisky and cherry liqueur were waiting for us. A lovely and very personal touch that we truly appreciated. You can tell in every detail that someone has really put thought into making guests feel comfortable. They've truly thought of everything! We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this beautiful accommodation, the thoughtful furnishings, and the warm hospitality. We had a fantastic time and will cherish the memories of this holiday and this special place for a long time to come. A definite recommendation – we would come back anytime!
