Ardura Estate - Ardura Lodge

The Isle of Mull draws visitors for its wild coastline, forests and chance to see otters, sea eagles and whales. Ardura Lodge sits within the Ardura Estate, a working landscape of open ground and woodland where deer are a regular sight from the windows. The property sleeps eight across four bedrooms and three bathrooms, making it a genuine base for a larger group or two families rather than a cramped squeeze.

The layout centres on a double lounge with a wood-burning stove, a separate dining room that seats ten, and a kitchen with an Aga where the table is genuinely where people linger. A playroom off the lounge gives children their own corner. Upstairs, the main bedroom is spacious with an en-suite bathroom, a cot already set up, and a study area; the others range from a super-king to two singles. Two further bathrooms mean no queuing. Bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. One dog can stay at no extra cost.

Estate walks start from the door and lead through woodland and open ground; further afield are everything from gentle coastal paths to longer hill routes. Tobermory's harbour is reachable, as are boat trips to neighbouring islands. Smoking is not permitted in the property.
