Darroch Beag sits on the shore of Loch Fyne near Cairndow, with the water 25 yards from the cottage. The two-bedroom property sleeps four and comes with parking for two cars on site. It's the kind of place where you can watch the loch from a bench in the garden, or from inside by the open fire on the ground floor, which has a living room, kitchen/dining room and utility room with washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one double, one with two singles—and a bathroom. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included, along with initial logs for the fire.
The cottage suits couples, small families, or anyone wanting quiet time by the water. One dog is welcome. Strachur village, with a shop, petrol station and two pubs, is a short drive away; Dunoon, half an hour further, has restaurants and larger amenities. The area is popular with divers—Seal Reef and St Catherines Dive Site are nearby—and with anyone exploring the Cowal Peninsula. The garden has a chiminea and furniture for outside use. The property is non-smoking.

A simple and rustic 2 bedroom cottage with lovely views up and down Loch Fyne. Located facing a narrow track, directly opposite a lightly wooded small copse on the headland - we were glad we took a bird feeder - we regularly saw Red Squirrels and a large variety of bird life - we also saw seals in the Loch. Panelled ceilings, winding stairs, a good shower & bath downstairs and a cosy log fire, ensured we warm and comfy (November).
