Strachur sits on the edge of Loch Fyne, known across the UK for its seafood. Rhoda's Cottage is a semi-detached property here, attached to the historic Strachur House. The village has a shop, café, inn with restaurant, petrol station and tennis courts all within walking distance, and a pub less than a mile away. The river runs 50 metres from the cottage, so it matters if you have young children.
Inside, there are three bedrooms sleeping five: a double bed, two single beds in one room, and a single in a third bedroom designed for a child. The bathroom has a bath with shower over it. Downstairs, the living room has a TV and DVD player, and the kitchen/dining room is fully equipped for cooking—electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Electricity, Wi-Fi, heating and towels are all included. You have exclusive use of the whole property, with private parking for two cars and a garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. One dog stays free.
The cottage is part of the 2000-acre Strachur Estate. The larger bedrooms look out over the formal gardens and towards heather-covered hills; the smaller bedroom overlooks the loch. Non-smokers only.
