Shelburne Lodge is a five-bedroom detached house in Cairnbaan, a hamlet straddling the Crinan Canal in Argyll and Bute. You arrive into a ground floor with living room, dining room and kitchen, plus a double bedroom and shower room. Upstairs are four further bedrooms—two kingsize, two with singles—and a family bathroom with bath and separate shower room. The property sleeps ten and is yours alone.
The kitchen has an oil range, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, so you can cook properly and manage laundry for a group. A wood burner heats the living room, with initial logs provided. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included. Outside, a large enclosed lawn surrounds the house with patio and seating; there's parking for three cars and a bike store. One well-behaved pet can stay free. The property is not suitable for smoking.
The Crinan Canal is one of Britain's most scenic waterways, and you're positioned halfway along its nine-mile route with direct access to the towpath for walking and cycling. A local hotel a short walk away serves food and drink. This is a quiet location for groups wanting space and countryside rather than a town setting.

Great place to explore the area. There are lots of fantastic walks nearby. The house was clean and well presented. Large living room and dining room. There are three bathrooms. If you do have a large party of guests, there is only a below counter fridge and freezer, so there is not much storage for perishable food items.

Stunning old house situated on the Crinan Canal. I stayed in the downstairs room with my partner and had to set times with the rest of the group when they could use the bathroom due to the noise of the sanipumps and ventilation fan. Other than that the beds were comfy the oven was great (I would recommend cooking at the house as there is only 1 hotel/restaurant nearby), the living room was cosy with nice big chairs and the dining room was stunning with a grand long table. Lots of nostalgic books and dvds provided.

A lovely large Edwardian villa in a beautiful part of Argyll, beside the Crinan Canal. Nice pub just along the road, and several others within 15/20 mins drive. Great walking, cycling, wildlife, antiquities, and other outdoor activities. The house has recently been totally renovated andd has all the usual facilities.
