Loch Awe Camping Pods

Lovely scenic view,we were on pod 6. It's clean and tidy. It's our first time trying on a pod as we normally go on a tent camping every year. It's handy to have a tiny fridge, microwave, and electric kettle and I like the idea of small mirror in the room. Mobile phone connection is great. Water, electricity, charging facilities for phones usb plug on top of the bed. It was warmer at night than I thought. Toilet and shower are clean.Pod space is great for 2 adult,1child and 1dog😊. Would like to stay a bit longer but we only managed to book 3nights for the availability. Would diffinetly coming back in the future.

Stayed early October. The site was quiet and relaxing. The site, located in Dalavich, is in a remote location, accessed for the last 10 miles on a single track road. It is situated on a hillside offering unobstructed views over the loch with plenty of areas to exercise (and lots of new smells and wildlife) for an energetic Husky. The 2 berth pod we booked was well suited for our needs, incorporating a deck on which to enjoy the scenery. The heating was more than adequate. There are 2 stools in the pod. However, we took along a couple of camp chairs, which made evening relaxing a bit more comfortable. The toilet block is within 2 minutes' walk from the pods and is extremely well maintained and kitted out. There is a local shop and bar less than 5 minutes walk. The local residents were friendly and welcoming. There is no external lighting (apart from a light on the decking), so torches are a must. All in all, we had an excellent time and look forward to returning soon.

We spent the last week in Pod 6 and had a great time. The weather was not on our side but we still managed to make the most of it. The pod was exactly as described, clean and comfortable and perfectly located. The facilities are well maintained, the cost for the shower is reasonable too. The fact that the community centre bar and shop/cafe are on the doorstep is perfect. We walked into a family friendly atmospheric environment and listened to live music the first night in literally the middle of the wilderness! We also had lunch in the cafe and bought supplies and souvenirs in the shop, it’s well stocked and reasonably priced. The ladies who run the shop are a good laugh too! Incredible views and access to the loch for water sports was easy too. Highly recommend! Even in the torrential rain it’s a spectacular place!

Wonderfully quiet place, in front of the loch with everything you need for cooking outside. The nice surprise for us was the communal hall with his bar and food that you can order. Will come back
