The Factor’s House

The Factor's House is a substantial four-bedroom property in Kilmartin Glen, with enough bathrooms for a group of ten. The ground floor contains the living and kitchen areas, plus one bedroom with a pull-out option for extra sleeping space. Upstairs, two further bedrooms have ensuite facilities, and the fourth bedroom also has its own bathroom fitted with a roll-top bath. Bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with heating and initial logs for the wood burner. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with dishwasher and washer-dryer among the appliances.

This corner of Mid Argyll sits in landscape layered with archaeology: standing stones, cairns and stone circles from the Neolithic and Bronze Age are dotted through the Glen, and Dunadd Fort—seat of the ancient Scottish kings—lies four miles away. The wider area offers coast to explore, forest tracks for walking or cycling, and access to ferry routes reaching Islay, Mull, Arran and other islands. Lochgilphead is eight miles south; Oban thirty miles north. One dog is welcome. Parking is available on site, and a shop and pub are within a mile. No smoking indoors.
