Nice 4 night break with only one day spoiled by the weather. Very nicely kept site, with friendly and informative site manager, Danny. Visited Unit 1 craft beer bar and restaurant, 4.5 mile walk along the Royal Military Canal on day 1. Went the other way in day 2 to St. Rumwolds Church where Paul O'Grady is buried, ending up at The Walnut Tree on Adlington, 6.75 mile round trip. The site must be spectacular in spring/summer when the grass pitches can be used. We found it peaceful and the toilet block was very useful. Overall, as there is no public transport anywhere nearby, I would say it was more suitable for caravans or smaller motorhomes/campervans but we enjoyed our stay, especially the RH &D Railway journey on day 4.

What a lovely place with great hosts. Everything you need is right there. Nothing was too much trouble. My dog and I Ioved it. So peaceful with great views. Great walk along the canal for dogs. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay over the New Year. We're definitely going back soon 👍👍

What a lovely little CL site this is! Everything is beautifully cared for, the views are wonderful, the peace and quiet was amazing and we slept so well every night. The best part about this site for us though is the people. We received such a warm and friendly welcome from Danny. He’s such a great person and is full of local knowledge about where to eat, shop, visit. Literally nothing was too much trouble for him or for the lovely owners of this site. We cannot wait to return. Thank you all

Fantastic peaceful setting . Lovely clean and welcoming site . Beautiful views ; fantastic walks along the canal . We were very well Looked after by the hosts and Danny was most helpful and kind . We’re sorry to leave and have rebooked immediately. It’s perfect ; as we have no shower facilities on Our camper for us having access to a homely toilet and wash basin enable a decent freshen up . If there was that facility it would be a 6/5 however we were fully aware of facilities when booking and will highly recommend . Enjoyed the hospitality from Danny f some Fresh organic tomatoes : Thank you ♥️
