The Coach House

Couples and small groups looking for a countryside retreat will find The Coach House a quiet base on the owner's substantial grounds. This single-bedroom property sleeps two and comes as your own self-contained space, all on one floor. The living room has a television and DVD player, the kitchen is equipped for cooking and includes a washing machine, and there is a sun room leading through to the bedroom with its kingsize bed. The bathroom has a bath with shower over.

You have access to the surrounding 4-acre grounds, which feature mature gardens developed over more than a century and now containing rare plants. Woodland walks are possible by arrangement, and the owners keep livestock in the fields. Parking for two cars is on site. The essentials—electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi—are all included. A pub and shops are within half a mile.

The Romney Marshes and the shingle beaches near Dungeness lie five miles away, while the Wild Animal Wilderness at Port Lympne is two miles off. Canterbury is fifteen miles; the Channel Tunnel and Dover ferry are within reach for a day trip to France. The property is non-smoking, and there is an unfenced pond in the woodlands that guests should be aware of.
