About The Fullerton Arms
Steak and Guinness pie on the menu sets the tone at The Fullerton Arms, a small hotel on Main Street in Ballycastle with just 12 rooms above a working restaurant and bar. It's a straightforward, well-run base on the Antrim Coast, with the Giant's Causeway and the wider coastline within reach for day trips.
Rooms are comfortable and on the spacious side for a hotel of this size, and breakfast is included to start the day before heading out along the coast. The restaurant leans into hearty Irish comfort food, with mussels and the aforementioned pie among the dishes made with local, fresh ingredients, though quality has occasionally varied according to some visitors. The bar, garden and meeting rooms give the place a few different corners to use, and free WiFi and luggage storage cover the practical side.
Staff are consistently described as friendly and efficient, which goes some way to explaining why the hotel is seen as good value for money. Pets are welcome, and free on-site parking makes it an easy stop for anyone touring County Antrim by car.

What guests say
Great pub with rooms. It has an excellent restaurant in the bar with a varied menu using local produce. Note of warning, if you book through one of the booking sites your price is room only. If I had booked directly with them I would have saved £20 on 2 breakfasts.

Had a lovely 2 night stay with a fantastic welcome. The staff couldn't do enough for us and the vibe of the place had me at home from the moment we arrived. Perfect location for exploring the stunning causeway coast in the good old 402 bus. We'll be back.

We stopped here during our Causeway tour, and the food was absolutely fantastic. There were loads of coach passengers coming through so it was very busy, but the team at Fullerton Arms were very well organised and the food came very quickly and the service was fantastic. We went for the seafood chowder and the chicken pitta, both of which were delicious. Highly recommend!!

A hidden gem for a cozy and welcoming stay in Ireland! I am currently visiting Ireland for a short holiday with my daughter, and I couldn't have picked a better place for my first night than The Fullerton Arms. From the moment I arrived, I felt truly at home. My room was incredibly cozy—exactly what I needed after a long day of travel. I was so touched by the thoughtful details provided by the hosts: a lovely tea and coffee station with delicious biscuits and a fresh bottle of water waiting for me. It’s those little 'Irish hospitality' touches that make a stay memorable! My only regret is that I didn't get to spend time at the Bar. I arrived quite tired and had a very early start at 5:00 AM today to drive to Dublin and pick up my daughter at the airport. However, the peacefulness of the room allowed me to get the perfect rest I needed for the journey ahead. If you are looking for a warm, clean, and charming place with wonderful hosts, I highly recommend staying here. I’m already looking forward to my next visit so I can finally enjoy a pint at the bar! Thank you for such a lovely start to our trip.
