About Bangor Bay Self Catering
Bangor Bay Self Catering offers two holiday cottages on Seacliff Road, where Belfast Lough meets the Irish Sea, just a four-minute walk from Bangor's marina and town centre. High Tide Cottage has direct sea views and beach access via its own slipway, while Splash Cottage sleeps up to six across three bedrooms with views toward Scotland on a clear day.
Both cottages have been recently refurbished, with ground-floor showers and handrails on the stairs, plus cots and high chairs available for younger guests. An optional private hot tub can be added to a stay, and free on-street parking is available outside.
The waterfront position gives easy access to Ballyholme Beach and watersports facilities as well as the restaurants and shops of Bangor town centre, making it a good option for families or groups who want more space and their own kitchen rather than a hotel room.

We stayed at High Tide Cottage (#9) for 2.5 months in the off season and loved our time there. The views are epic from each of the three floors. There’s plenty of parking available and it’s just a short waterfront walk to town. Bangor has a lot of nice cafes and restaurants to try. It’s a good place to stay for a while and then just drive to visit the various spots in Northern Ireland on day trips. Max & Jody were helpful and friendly!

Had a lovely time in Bangor and Splash Cottage was a great place to stay. Fabulous location with amazing views of the sea. Perfect configuration of rooms, beds, lounge and outdoor spaces. Excellent host, very responsive, friendly and helpful, who also provided lots of little and thoughtful extras such as bottle of wine, milk, flowers and sweets for the children. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

You'll be knocked over by this spacious, bright cottage perfectly situated on Bangors seafront. Hosts Paul & Gillian are delightful and very helpful. A bouquet of fresh cut flowers, chocolates and wine awaited our arrival. Walking distance to harbour, town centre and great dining! Hope we can return again soon!
