About Tyn Y Ffridd Farm Campsite

Tucked into 70 acres of working farmland and woodland on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, Tyn Y Ffridd offers sweeping views across to the mountain range and a genuinely peaceful escape from the everyday. You can pitch your own tent, book one of the hand-built cabins crafted on-site, or settle into a private bell tent—whichever suits your style. The family-run site keeps things relaxed and friendly, with a shower and toilet block, free Wi-Fi, and a small shop stocked with local produce.

There's plenty to keep everyone entertained: a play area and games room for kids, campfires and barbecues allowed, and direct access to farm trails perfect for dog walks. The location puts you within easy reach of canoeing, climbing, mountain biking, and watersports, while still feeling genuinely remote. Some visitors note facilities can feel a touch basic during peak times, but most appreciate the wild, back-to-nature vibe and the warm welcome from the hosts.

The Cowshed is in an amazing location, just 20 minutes from both Tryfan and the mountains, and Newborough where you can enjoy beautiful beaches. Plus, Zip World is just a quick 10-minute drive away. The house has been updated since the photos were taken, and the rustic and reclaimed fittings and furniture add unique charm to the place. The barn features three beds. There is a spiral staircase that leads to the second bedroom through the main one, which adds an interesting detail to the layout. After a day of hiking, the barn remains super warm, making it a perfect retreat. The owners are incredibly friendly, and we found the house spotless upon arrival. The enclosed garden is perfect for dogs, and the outdoor kitchen adds the option of enjoying a BBQ.

We r staying here for another 4 days. I love the converted cowshed we are in . Would have given it more points, but the shower let it down ,the heads on the fantastic shower looks like they have not been descalled for a long time so alot of the jets are blocked ,was so looking forward to this spectacular shower. Also, we have two dogs. The gardens are not closed in as we thought, so we went out and brought a wind breaker to separate our garden from next doors .Some dogs do not get on with others. But apart from that we'll done ✔️ 😌

Till the wonder that airbnb came along I never knew you could have such a place with themed huts and dwellings! We stayed in the tin man hut. Beautiful views, lovely owner and everything was great for two nights away glamping.

Lovely stay in the Tyn Man. Great site with everything you need for a relaxing break. Immaculately clean communal areas. Would recommend.
