About Tros Y Waen Holiday Park
Tucked near Pentir with Snowdonia's peaks on the horizon, Tros Y Waen is a welcoming, no-frills holiday park that punches well above its weight. The small scale keeps things peaceful, and campers consistently praise the spotless facilities and the genuinely friendly welcome from hosts who clearly care about their guests. You can pitch a tent on grass (some with hook-up) or settle onto hardstanding if you're touring, and campfires are allowed—a rarity that adds real atmosphere on cooler evenings.
Dogs are welcome, families feel at home, and you're ideally placed for Zip World, Caernarfon Castle, and hiking in the national park. The site can feel a touch basic if you're after bells and whistles—there's no Wi-Fi and amenities are straightforward—but for many that's precisely the appeal: proper camping, done well, without the fuss.

What visitors say
Tros-Y-Waen caravan park is perhaps one of the best Holiday Sites I have stayed on. A great family run location/business, where nothing is too much and staff are always on hand. This place not only has everything you could need onsite, a tuck style shop, shower facilities, cleaning facilities, electrical hook ups and water supplies, waste recycling facilities etc. Considering the location, the price for visits and annual pitches is very good value for money. I was only planning to stay a couple of months, but I have seriously rebooked for the coming year. Now that's the boring stuff out of the way, onsite they also have a small family farm of animals, (pigs, horses, chickens and so much more), who will always welcome the new guests. There is a children's playground area and a small lake with amazing views across the mountain ranges. Briefly writing- your campsite is one of the best in Wales. We all have different needs for relaxation. For me the most important thing was the peace and quiet at the campsite. I appreciate it and I am very grateful that there are certain restrictions on guests. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, for the wonderful showers and cleanliness, for the beautifully maintained grounds and for your hospitality. I will definitely be back. If you're looking for peace and quiet place to stay without loud people or groups, shouting or music I wholeheartedly recommend this campsite. Here you can truly relax and fully enjoy your stay.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a large electric grass pitch. Very spacious pitches with nice views. It was lovely and quiet at night apart from 1 group of lads that were a bit noisy on the second night but this wouldn't put me off coming here again. The toilet and shower facilities were immaculate and the showers were lovely and hot. Shop on site selling all the basics and very reasonably priced. Owners are friendly and helpful. Overall a fab little camping and caravan site 10/10 from me

Probably one of the best campsites I've stayed in, and a real find in N Wales. Perfect balance between simplicity and having the facilities we needed to camp with a toddler for a week. Camping field was separate to the caravans so never really felt like we were at a holiday park. Our son loved the playground and seeing the animals, and the river. Midgies weren't too bad either! Staff were brilliant, super helpful, friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back!
