This was our first visit and we will be definitely be heading back. It's perfect for a family visit. The children's play area is really well thought through with areas for children of all ages. The walk around the lake is fab if you have a dog and just enough to tire out a toddler. I loved all fairy sculptures too. And the estate itself has a garden centre, shopping area and there is a craft market every 3rd Saturday of the month which happens to be there when we went too. So something for everyone. It's also just off the motorway so great if you are coming in from out of town. We took a picnic but there is a restaurant and some small cafes around the lake for a quick drink or ice cream. There are also a few places to eat and drink in the shopping area and most places are dog friendly too. The car park is also really big so plenty of parking space. We didn't visit the monkey forest as we had our dog with us but that will be the next trip.

Trentham Gardens is a fantastic place to visit and one of the highlights of Staffordshire. The gardens are beautifully maintained, with colourful flower displays, peaceful lakeside walks and plenty of wildlife to spot along the way. It's easy to spend several hours here without getting bored. What makes the estate even more interesting is its history. Trentham was once home to a grand country house dating back hundreds of years. Although the mansion was demolished in the early 20th century, visitors can still see parts of the historic ruins and remains of the old estate, which add a unique atmosphere to the gardens. The landscape was redesigned by the famous Capability Brown, whose work can still be admired around the lake today. The Italian Gardens are particularly impressive, and there are lots of hidden fairy sculptures, cafés and shops to enjoy. Whether you love history, nature or photography, Trentham Gardens has something for everyone. A wonderful day out and a place I would happily visit again.

Had a great time. Never been before,bu will be going again. A bit of a holdup getting into the car park, but to be expected with so many people wanting to visit. This was the Sunday of tbe Classic and Retro car show. Something for all special car fans here. Too many types to list spread out on a hillside above the lake. Wild flower garden was wonderful, David Austin rose walk a nasel delight. The Wysteria arch is the longest I have ever see. Not in flower on our visit, but must be a special sight when it is. The lake is impressive in size, and has an electric Catermaran giving tours on Saturdays and Sundays in tge summer months and every day in school holidays. The formal gardens were having a bit of work doing on the pathes, but the many trees and bushes add to the overall appeal when viwed as a hole. There is only one permanent Cafe inside the garden, which was struggling to cope with all the visitors at the time of our visit. However, entrance to the gardens an parking is from tbe adjacent shopping village, and carpark. Here you will find lots of cafes and a few outlets for main meals and drinks. Car parking is FREE, which is nice, and is staffed by pleasent Security staff who keep the traffic flowing so delays are minimised. The shopping village has many retail outlets for clothes, shoes, gifts,so you could visit just for that if you wish. Entrance to the Gardens is chargable, which is understandable given tbe considerable costs of Staff to tend the gardens. Well worth a visit.

Walking in here on a sunny day in late spring felt like walking into a dream or a film set. It was pristine and ethereal with so much to see and do. For me personally it was worth the fee, with two boys we kept ourselves entertained for hours. I would like to go back and spend more time walking the entire way around the lake.
