Birch Cottage is a 17th-century barn conversion with original stonework and timber beams throughout. The property sits on a 2-acre landscaped site shared with other cottages, set at elevation with views towards the Peak District. It has two bedrooms—one with a king bed, one with two singles—and two bathrooms, making it suitable for families or two couples. Essentials including electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels come as standard, and the wood burner can be lit (initial logs included, further supplies available).
The layout splits across two floors: downstairs holds the living room with a Freeview TV and DVD player, plus a kitchen/dining room and shower room; upstairs are the two bedrooms and a bathroom with bath and shower. Outside, you have access to a large lawned garden with patio and summerhouse, plus a wood-fired hot tub available from 8am to 10pm (shared with other guests on-site). There is also a shared tennis court, and a barbecue hut available on request. Private parking for three cars sits near the property.
The setting suits couples and families wanting rural quiet without complete isolation; the on-site grounds offer more than most single cottages. Do note there are five steps down into the garden, and smoking is not permitted. One well-behaved pet is welcome.

Great location, great views lovely gardens. We attended a wedding in big teepee,s. Didn't take a room but family did, had a look round, looked lovely. U can leave your car overnight if required. Would recommend this venue.

Excellent communication from the start. On arrival staff were lovely, gave us a tour and explained facilities well. Complimentary drink too. Not over crowded and managed to use all the facilities. Well organised day. We'll definitely be back. Thank you 😊

Absolutely will be booking again. My 60 minute treatment was amazing. The lady talked me through my treatment so I knew what to expect. The spa facility was also lovely and relaxing. Price of a 60 minute treatment and the use of the spa was really good price. Can’t wait to visit again

The accommodation is beautiful, High quality and well appointed and has everything you need. It's also has lovely comfy beds and amazing views. The spa is beautiful and well equipped. The different saunas and experiences are all great and the hot tub with wonderful views was fabulous. My treatment was a facial and it was so relaxing and my skin looked amazing afterwards. The therapist who did it was friendly and professional and it was a lovely experience.
