About Travelodge Barrow In Furness
Travelodge Barrow In Furness sits within easy reach of the town centre, on ground close to the shipyards and coastline that define this corner of Cumbria. The surrounding area suits walkers and cyclists, with countryside and water never far away, and the BAE Systems shipyard is a short distance off for anyone visiting on business.
The hotel has 40 rooms spread across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and the option of a hot drink in the room. Accessible rooms are available, and breakfast can be taken on site to start the day. Facilities are kept simple, in keeping with the budget nature of the place, but cover the essentials: free on-site parking at the front and side of the building, complimentary Wi-Fi, an electric vehicle charge point, and 24-hour reception for late arrivals.
Beyond the hotel doors there is plenty to fill the time, from golf and fishing to watersports, along with pubs, restaurants and a pizza eatery nearby for evening meals. Pets are welcome, making it a practical stop for those travelling with animals. Rooms are straightforward rather than stylish, but for a no-fuss overnight stay near Barrow's shipyard and coast, it does the job.

What guests say
Great hotel! Even though it's located right on a main road, it's very quiet and peaceful. The reception staff are lovely—always smiling and incredibly helpful. The room itself was spotless, cosy, and very spacious for a family room. Plus, the beds were super comfy. Highly recommended!

Stayed in this hotel for two nights 1st-3rd May for the Barrow v Newport County match.Receptionists were very friendly and helpful on arrival and checkout. The room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean and fresh with nicexquality bedding and towels. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and I had two really good nights' sleep. Basic facilities provided were very good.Overall I was 100% happy with the stay and would definitely return sjould I ever visit Barrow again and highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay.

Our booking at Barrow was under a different name, an error we didn't realise till we paid for another room. We realised within 5 minutes but it proved impossible to cancel the second room. The staff couldn't/wouldn't help, we had to call the PAY helpline. We were told to fill in a form. Our request for a refund was rejected because we hadn't tried to cancel sooner( how could we, there was no-one to talk to?). It was a non refundable room but this was not your usual 'didn't turn up' situation. I was surprised at the lack of flexibility/ wish to be helpful. The hotel was relatively empty and so there was no loss of revenue. A rigid and unsympathetic attitude and we won't be using them again. Even a voucher towards a future stay would have save them

Hotel is a bit tired but clean a tidy. Price paid was very reasonable and had a good night's sleep. What more do you want. Very handy if attending a football match at Barrow as Hotel is just over the road.
