Hallcroft Fishery

Photo: janusz dominiak

Hallcroft Fishery is a two-bedroom static caravan sleeping six, set within fishing grounds near Retford. The layout is compact and practical: a combined living and dining area with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (one with a kingsize bed and ensuite, one with single beds), and a second bathroom. Everything you need for self-catering is here, from heating and electricity to bed linen and towels.

The standout feature is the private hot tub for six, positioned to overlook the lakes on the property itself. An enclosed patio and garden furniture are part of the deal, and you get parking for three cars on site. The caravan is entirely on ground level, though there are steps in the surrounding grounds. No smoking inside the property.

Location-wise, you're at a working fishery stocked with a range of fish species—serious appeal if angling is on your agenda. The Hallcroft Fishing Tackle Shop is on the doorstep. Beyond that, the area offers scope for walking and exploring, with access to nature reserves and woodland nearby. Retford itself is the closest town amenities. This works well for groups of friends or families who want a base where relaxation and outdoor pursuits go hand in hand.

Had a great weekend here, we stayed in the rental static. It was clean and comfortable. Fishing was included in the stay also. Didnt catch many fish but that was down to a skill level not the lakes 😀. The cafe/bar was decent and always busy. Tackle shop was well stocked. What more is needed. We'll definitely be back

Stayed for two nights this weekend in our campervan. Beautiful, peaceful location. Stayed on grass stand with electric beside the canal. Lovely having ducks waddle past and a cuckoo in the morning. Great facilities, showers, waste disposal. Staff lovely and friendly in reception, tackle shop and restaurant, food great!! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!!
