Parade Lookout suits couples wanting a city base within walking distance of Bath's main sights. The Roman Baths, Royal Crescent, The Circus and Thermae Bath Spa are all nearby, yet the apartment itself is set back from the bustle—a quiet retreat after days spent exploring on foot. You get the whole place to yourself, with parking available on site.
Inside, there's a comfortable living area with Smart TV, a dining space, double bedroom and modern shower room. The kitchen is fitted out for self-catering, and there's a tumble dryer off the courtyard. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. The location puts you near Walcot Street's independent shops and cafés, and the Georgian surroundings mean some noise from above is occasional rather than avoidable. Access is via stairs, which may not suit everyone with mobility concerns. No smoking is permitted.

What guests say
The path is steep, can be a bit slippery even when dry. You can take a path without stairs on the way back that goes through a meadow. The view is nice, but with growing vegetation pictures not so much.

Superb viewpoint at the edge of Alexandra Park, overlooking the city and green hills beyond. The vantage point here allows you to see many of Bath's most famous buildings, including Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths and the elegant crescents for which the city is famous. There's an easy, longer route up from the city via Lyncombe, or a shorter but much steeper route up a long flight of steps from Widcombe (take care on this route as parts can be slippery when wet). The shorter walk takes no more than 20 minutes from the city centre if you're reasonably fit, and around 15 minutes from the railway station. This viewpoint is free to visit and is close to the Bath Skyline trail, a very enjoyable 6 mile circular walk that takes in many more wonderful views of the city.

The overview says it all. The climb is very steep and extremely difficult. The view is worth it. Only at the top I realized it’s also accessible by road which may have been an easier route.

Very steep walk from Bath but incredible view. There is a small car park if you don't want to walk and an information board that shows you the highlights, although it could do with a bit of maintenance.
