The site sits about four miles from Bristol Airport, and though it's not under a flight path, planes can occasionally be heard when the wind's in the wrong direction. Still, with walkers' trails on the doorstep and wildlife all around, it's a genuinely green escape that feels far more remote than it actually is.

Spacious pitches and an idylic setting. Mike is great and clearly cares alot about the site, cut flowers and herbs in the cleanest compost loos I have ever seen, there are alao tables, crate sofas and stools dotted around for you to use. Showers are also clean and have lovely hot water. In the evening just watch the Swallows diving around and gliding by you on the 2nd field. The campsite was lovely Mike has left large meadow areas attracting wild life and peace. There is no main road so felt really quiet. Dry wood is available and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going again.

We had a lovely time at the campsite. There are multiple large fields, so we had the option to stay a bit further from the families. The facilities are very clean and well looked after. We received some delicious fresh eggs from Mike upon arrival. We had a fire in one of the fire pits available on the campsite. We had a great time and would come again.

A picturesque and mostly peaceful site that really captures the heart of the Somerset countryside. We loved the choice of pitches and the fact that fire pits are provided—you can buy a generous barrow-load of wood for £10, which was perfect for the evenings. The dawn chorus here is incredible! There is a bit of aircraft noise, but it didn't detract from the experience. The showers were great, and there are public footpaths leading directly from the site. It’s a fantastic base for exploring—we visited Wells, Cheddar Gorge, and the stunning (and much more peaceful) Ebbor Gorge. Clevedon and Portishead are also within easy reach. We used the Bristol Park and Ride which was very efficient, and the Vue cinema isn't too far for a rainy day. The owner is clearly working hard to maintain the site’s potential; we enjoyed it so much we will definitely return!

We had a lovely stay at Walnut Tree Farm. Mike was very helpful and gave us good advice on local walks. The site was very quiet when we stayed, so much so that we slept in until 9am! You can sometimes hear the planes but very rarely and didn’t bother us at all! The facilities were very clean and each plot has its own fire pit which was great. Overall would really recommend!!
