About The White Swan Inn
Berwick-upon-Tweed, with its riverside walls and easy reach of Berwick Castle and the Tweed River, is the setting for The White Swan Inn, a traditional pub-hotel on Main Street with just six rooms. It suits those who want a proper local base rather than a large anonymous hotel, with parking taken care of and pets welcome if you're travelling with a dog.
Rooms are en-suite and include family options, with drinks available in the room and free WiFi throughout. Downstairs there's a bar and restaurant serving breakfast and meals for adults and children alike, plus a garden and outdoor seating for warmer days. Packed lunches can be arranged for those heading out to explore, and luggage storage is on hand for early arrivals or late departures. An electric vehicle charge point covers guests arriving by car.
Beyond the inn's own doors, Berwick-upon-Tweed offers further pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach, along with the historic pull of the castle and the river itself. It's a straightforward, well-placed inn for those wanting to explore the town on foot and return to a proper pub atmosphere at the end of the day.
Guests mention this inn offers delicious food, including hearty pub grub and excellent breakfast options, with clean and comfortable rooms. They also highlight the friendly and attentive staff, who create a welcoming atmosphere. Visitors appreciate the excellent value for money and the convenient location for exploring the surrounding area.
