What visitors say
We arrived at The Barn on Fathers Day with our Jack Russel hoping for a Sunday Carvery, we were not disapointed. We only had to wait a short while to be served. The carvery was great, staff were very friendly despite being a very busy time. Eddie the Jack Russel was allowed in and enjoyed his time too. Reasonably priced. The view of Holy Island a bonus to. Well done.

Food was mediocre at best. I had the coronation chicken sandwich on foccacia. The bread was cut so thinly at one point it was as thin as a credit card - no joke. I had a side of chips which were well cooked but please if you're going to pre-salt the chips please tell people they're pre-salted. Not everyone likes salt on their food. Our waitress was very pleasant but there was one who was just plain rude. We live locally but we won't be back - Very disappointing 😔

Visited on a clear May day with the tide out. The views over Holy Island were genuinely world-class. That alone makes the trip worthwhile. Food was decent, the problem is service. Understaffed during lunch rush, slow and had to wait despite many empty tables available. Prices are on the high side for what’s delivered though acceptable. Ultimately, the view is the only reason this place works. Without it, hard to justify the visit. Come for the scenery, manage your expectations on everything else.

Waited 20+ mins in a queue for a table, lovely day so didn't mind waiting outside. Could see plenty (6 at least) picnic bench tables outside that weren't occupied but was told when served that we couldnt sit outside. Shame not to have the view the place boasts on such a sunny day. Service took a long time in the restaurant. Approx another 30 mins before we ordered food. Asked person bringing us drinks if we could order food but was told that they couldnt do it and only another specified person would be able to take our order. Food came eventually and was OK. Till service for paying the bill. Odd setup seems to have made the operation run inefficiently on the day. Might be better at other times.
