This review is about the afternoon tea served at The Bicester Hotel Golf and Spa, and in particular about the front of house manager Vik. The initial welcome into the hotel was warm and inviting, walking from the hot car park into the cool interior, a well laid out and subtly decorative space. We were then greeted and, on asking for afternoon tea, were taken through to the tea room where we were greeted by Vik. He laid out our options for tea and invited us to sit at one of the elegantly laid out and comfortable tables, which we did. The room was a comfortable temperature, a stark contrast from the outside heat. Vik then served us afternoon tea and was kind and accommodating, offering honey instead of sugar on request. He made us aware of the different kinds of teas and for each one provided a guide on which blend of flavors and aromas each would offer. He came back every so often to check we how we were getting on, each time making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. One of us was elderly so the care, consideration, and safeguarding shown was very much appreciated. At the end of our tea he welcomed us back again, and we will be sure to return. Vik took great pride in his work and the various offerings from the Bicester Hotel, he showed excellent interpersonal skills and customer service, he really made our afternoon tea memorable. Thank you.

Went for a spa afternoon with friends and I have to say, it was absolutely lovely. Beautiful setting, clean, well maintained and a real pleasure to visit. The pool was better than I had hoped for, I'm not a confident swimmer but it being one depth all through made me feel safe. Steam room and jacuzzi were amazing. The food was so good. Definitely coming again.

Disappointing stay The only good thing about this hotel is that it’s closer to Bicester Village for shopping. Our room had flies in it and was very dusty, the service was inconsistent, the spa is ok (my facial was very nice) but the steam room and other facilities were not available during our stay (they emailed to let us know 2 days before which was too late to change plans when time off work etc had been booked). Several of the lockers in the changing rooms don’t work. Would not recommend staying here if you’re looking for a relaxing spa break. 4 star hotel is not an accurate rating in my opinion.

Unreal value for a 1 night stay for two, including health suite access and breakfast. The staff were all great, the breakfast good quality, and the health suite clean and all working. Some of the spaces are perhaps a little tired looking (changing rooms particularly), and there needs to be more attention to clearing tables in the bar area. The experience is not "luxury", but the price doesn't set up a luxury expectation either.
