About The Chesterton Hotel
The Chesterton Hotel is a modest-sized property with 22 rooms, set on the edge of Bicester in Oxfordshire within easy reach of the surrounding countryside. It has the feel of a comfortable, well-run local hotel rather than a grand estate, with a garden and a layout that also lends itself to weddings and small events.
Rooms are well-appointed and come with air conditioning, free WiFi, and drinks available in-room, with a lift serving the building for easier access. The restaurant and bar are a particular strength, serving a breakfast spread alongside a menu that includes notable Indian dishes. Staff are attentive and the overall atmosphere is welcoming, though it's worth checking the bill carefully, as some guests have noted extra charges cropping up unexpectedly. A gym, business services, meeting rooms, and concierge assistance round out the facilities.
Free on-site parking is provided, a useful touch given the hotel's position near Bicester Village and the wider Oxfordshire countryside. Pubs, restaurants, and other eateries can be found nearby, along with local entertainment options, making it a straightforward base for exploring the area.

What guests say
We recently attended a family event at The Chesterton Hotel in Bicester, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The service provided by the entire team was outstanding and played a huge part in making the occasion so memorable. A special thank you to Rosie, Naveen, and the owner, Kaven, whose professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality stood out throughout the event. Nothing was too much trouble, and they went out of their way to ensure everything ran smoothly. We'd also like to recognise the fantastic kitchen team, who went above and beyond to accommodate our ad hoc requests during the event. Every request was handled with a smile and incredible efficiency, which made a real difference and was greatly appreciated. The venue itself was beautiful, the food was excellent, and the attention to detail was second to none. It was clear that everyone at The Chesterton Hotel genuinely cared about making our family celebration a success. Thank you to the entire team for making it such a wonderful and memorable occasion. We would highly recommend The Chesterton Hotel to anyone looking for a venue with exceptional service and outstanding hospitality.

Booked this as a surprise hotel for my mums 60th and was absolutely gutted when we entered the room. The photos speak for themselves but I’ll add we had a ground floor room with windows that didn’t lock & loose bathroom floor tiles that tilted and grout popped out when we stood on them. The hotel have dealt with the issue but that doesn’t take away the disappointment that the memories of a big mile stone birthday are always going to be rubbish 😞 premier inn probably would have done better.

I took my dad to the Chesterton hotel today for Father’s Day afternoon tea. The food was beautiful, the location is lovely, and the service from the staff was incredible (especially in light of the fact they were also catering for an 150 person wedding!). Overall a wonderful afternoon.

A great hotel, situated not far from the M40/A34 interchange makes an ideal location for visiting attractions in the area, and anyone using the M40 for an overnight stop. Very clean, excellent staff, lovely rooms and beds, great food. Plenty of free parking
