About Premier Inn Birmingham South Hall Green
A generous breakfast and an on-site restaurant are the starting point at Premier Inn Birmingham South Hall Green, a 52-room hotel on Stratford Road within reach of Birmingham city centre and Cadbury World. Food is taken seriously here, with a proper cooked breakfast setting guests up for the day and drinks available in the rooms too, alongside the restaurant for evening meals without having to head out.
Rooms are en-suite and come in accessible options, with reception staffed around the clock and free Wi-Fi throughout. The hotel is spread across two floors, and while the rooms are consistently described as clean, comfortable and well-sized, air conditioning isn't guaranteed, which is worth bearing in mind if visiting in warmer months.
Free on-site parking sits at the front of the hotel, making it a practical base for driving in and out of Birmingham. There's a pub or bar nearby for those wanting a change of scene, plus entertainment options within easy reach, and the staff are consistently noted as friendly and helpful throughout a stay.
What guests say
Room is very clean. Hotel staff friendly and engaging. The premier breakfast is fantastic and the Toby cavern next door is friendly with excellent food. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice convenient location, reception staff very nice, rooms dint have air con unless you pay to upgrade, I know it's something I missed on booking, but I didnt sleep as it was 33 degrees in my room. The Toby carvery next door was average and there's no option for meal deal to include breakfast and evening meal. The Premier Inn serves its own breakfast, but it's served to table, but lovely. Would I stay here again, no

Just stayed for the one night over the weekend. We arrived early after a 5.5hr journey, spoke to the breakfast staff about parking (they were so helpful and kind) and then checked in later that night after attending a party. The lady on reception that night was fantastic, so patient with my drunk boyfriend (i think she was the manager, I’m not sure!) Can’t thank the staff enough, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Didn’t have breakfast in the morning, opted for a lie in instead but room was comfortable, spacious and spotless.

We stopped over for a Saturday night and when checking in, the lady at the desk was so friendly and helpful. She asked us if we were visiting Crufts but then noticed my girlfriend’s birthday badge and wished her a happy birthday. Our room was absolutely spotless, very modern decoration, and really comfortable. We went into Birmingham city centre for the day and when we came back, the lady from the front had delivered a handwritten birthday card and small box of chocolates. Such a lovely gesture and completely unexpected. We had breakfast in the morning and it wasn’t the premier inn breakfast buffet we were used to. You had to order your plate from the staff member, whatever, however much you wanted, and she would bring it to your table. I like that this probably reduced wasted food from having trays and trays of food sat out for hours, but it did put me off having a second plate at all. Checkout was easy, just drop your keycard off at the desk and out you go. Parking was free, just stick your reg plate into the iPad at the front desk.
