About Tropical Garden Oasis
Tucked on Birmingham's outskirts yet feeling a world away, this tiny adults-only retreat packs an impressive amount of greenery and wildlife into a compact garden setting. Lush tropical plantings frame natural ponds and several seating areas, all lit by solar power after dark—making it a surprisingly peaceful base less than six miles from the city centre. Nature-watchers love spotting the birds and insects drawn to the exotic foliage, while campfires and barbecues add to the relaxed vibe on warmer evenings.
The site feels genuinely different from typical campsites, though with just a handful of pitches it can book up quickly in late spring and summer when the garden's at its best. From here, Birmingham's attractions—Cadbury World, the Bullring, the Black Country Living Museum—are all within easy reach by car, and you've got a shop five minutes on foot. It's an unusual urban escape that manages to deliver both birdsong and big-city access in one affordable package.
