About Travelodge Birmingham Halesowen

Free on-site parking is one of the more useful perks at Travelodge Birmingham Halesowen, a 71-room hotel spread across five floors on Whitehall Road. Sitting just off the M5 junction 3, it's a practical base for anyone travelling to Halesowen town centre, Dudley, the Black Country Living Museum, or onward to the M42.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks facilities, and there's a lift for easier access to the upper floors, along with accessible rooms for those who need them. Breakfast is available on site, and a pizza eatery, pub and restaurant are all within easy reach for evening meals. An electric vehicle charge point covers guests arriving by EV, and pets are welcome for those travelling with animals. Reception operates around the clock.

The hotel is generally well kept, with clean rooms and an easy-access location among its main strengths, though some guests have noted that rooms can run warm and that noise from nearby roads or other guests can be an issue. For a straightforward, budget-friendly stopover near the motorway network and local attractions, it does the job well.

Recently stayed for 1 night for work purposes. Paid approximately £80 for one night (was last minute). Room- appeared neat however not high standards of cleanliness in the bathroom area. The sheets also had some marks on and the place was a little dusty. The heating appliance intermittently made an odd sound and I had to keep turning it on and off. I did report this and the staff were really polite but the appliance continued to make noise so I turned it off resulting in feeling cold all night. There is a small tv, remote was difficult to work but can change the channels from the TV. Desk space is nice. There was an odd smell in the room, smelt like strong smoke. I did speak to a staff member who could also smell this in the room and offered a spray which did help a little. The shower was fine, good temperature and pressure. Staff- Zoe at reception was really polite, professional and tried to help me with my queries. Thank you to Zoe. Location- not great as it is right on top of the KFC and very noisy outside but this was a last minute booking so cannot complain. Overall, for a last minute stay was fine was definitely not worth £80 for the night. I would not choose to stay here again.
