Clent Hills Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Nice site on the edge of Romsley, 9 minutes from the m5. Has all the usual ccc facilities plus friendly staff. Conveniently situated to walk the Clent Hills and a short walk into Romsley which has a co-op and pub. They'd had trouble with travellers so there was security with dogs at the end of the drive.

Camped here for 2 nights on 25/4/26 our very first time with our crazy bullmastiffs that are scared and very protective they bark at everyone and every other animal be it a dog, cat, pigeon or squirrel, dont like us talking to other (jealous buggers :-) , so we wanted to see how good they'd behave.. the toilets and shower block were immaculate not 1 cob webb or spider in sight, showers were lovely both of us just wanted to be in there longer. Staff were lovely explained everything politely and reason why when they needed us to move the tent further across from our neighbours, popped by the next morning to wish us a good stay, and when we left they gave us tips on what would be best for us on our next visit and gave us a lovely send off.

As members booked a two night stay at one of their sites as it was close to a venue for a race I was participating in. I’ve trained hard for months, early mornings several times per week, I’ve put my heart and soul into it. We didn’t even need two nights, but due to their minimum stay policy had to, I accepted extra costs. We were already on one leg into our journey when customer services rang asking me to call them…seconds before they closed for the day so absolutely no chance of speaking to them til 9am on Saturday. Message said to ring the site directly, so I did. They were annoyed I’d been told to do this. Site can’t speak plain simple English, or be honest with their customers as to what the situation actually is, led me to believe given my need to be there there may be options there or on another site. Specifically told me there was no security as they would have to pass costs on. Spoke to customer services on the Saturday 1. There was security, the situation was that bad it had been smashed through. 2. There was no chance whatsoever of a place on another site, other customers had been prioritised ahead of us and no spaces. 3. No support to find anything else or compensation for increased costs due to ridiculously late notice. Absolutely devastated as basically meant I missed my event. They don’t care in the slightest! Sharing as I don’t want anyone else to go through what I have.

We arrived & was met with friendly staff, which allocated us our plot (grass with electric) now be warned when choosing this option you will be met with rutted grass, slopes & a tiny plot. The site is nicely located in the countryside, clean toilets & showers. But when we asked if we can move elsewhere it was a no, as they 'may' have others turning up. This wasn't the case as we found out when we went to leave at the end of our stay. Sleeping side on, on a slope & trying to cook was difficult, unfortunately we will not be coming back as we also requested to place my car from the right side of the tent to the left, but was denied even though the site seemed only half full.
