About Travelodge Birmingham Oldbury

Travelodge Birmingham Oldbury is a compact, two-floor budget hotel set beside the A4123 Wolverhampton Road, built along practical, no-frills lines rather than for architectural flourish. With 33 rooms, it's a small, straightforward base rather than a destination in its own right, geared towards travellers who want a bed near the motorway network rather than a country retreat.

Rooms are simple and functional, each with an en-suite bathroom, a television and in-room drinks, and there's limited free WiFi throughout. Accessible rooms are available, and reception is staffed around the clock. Breakfast can be taken on site, and an electric vehicle charge point is fitted for those who need it. Pets are welcome, and free on-site parking is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

A pub or bar can be found nearby for evening food and drink, and a KFC sits close by for something quicker. The hotel's position just off the M5 makes it a convenient stop for reaching Birmingham city centre and other points across the West Midlands, suiting guests who need an easy, practical overnight stay rather than a lengthy break.

A good place to pitch up for night. Quiet. Standard travelodge room but did the job. Didn't have much to do with the staff but she was cheery enough when we registered.

As a budget hotel it was ok on arrival except a sign up saying reception was closed, found a number and eventually someone turned up. This was early hours so not unusual Early morning however, kids running up and down shouting, pretty normal with hotels and families going to breakfast but no…..these kids live here, yepp walk through the crowd of people in dressing gowns and slippers smoking outside while kids play in the car park. O know people need to be housed somewhere in emergencies but really hotels should warn us of extra disturbing factors

Although it's on the busy Wolverhampton Road the hotel itself is very quiet as it's tucked away off behind a petrol station and a veterinary surgery. It's two storey but there's no lift. Confectionery vending machine in reception but there's a convenience store with the garage. KFC is 100 yards up the road but there's supermarkets within easy reach and other fast food outlets.

I stayed here on Thursday night for 1 night i got up Friday morning to bad snow. I would really like to thank julie the manager and her colleague Julie they both went above and beyond for me on the Friday. They both cleared my car of the snow and then dug it out so I could drive my car out. 2 exceptionally nice ladies couldn't do enough for me wouldn't let me help at all. Well done ladies and a massive thank you. Will definitely stay there again. Lynda crook.
