What visitors say
One of the first ever indoor climbing centres in the UK ! The original church converted into a climbing centre. Great indoor climbing for everyone from novices and kids to experienced lead climbers. Top ropes, long lead climbs, three auto belays. Small care area offering great coffee & a few cakes. TCA offers climbing for all .. pop me a DM if you are interested in a taster or beginners lesson

ive been bringing my son here for a little while now and he loves it. All the instructors are brilliant and really knowledgeable. I couldn't recommend this place enough. I dont climb myself but it looks great inside with lots of routes (some are quite high). They also do great coffee 😀

This is the original Bristol climbing venue and I first took our children there 25 years ago when it was UCR. So heavy in nostalgia for us. We have climbed here ever since. We did our top rope and lead courses here. Recent addition of auto belays is fab. My only complaint is that it is cold there - really cold for me in the winter. It can be difficult to park but easier for us to get there than Redpoint. Having access to the Church and Mothership in Bristol and the Arc in Chippenham is really good.

Amazingly The Church was the second commercial indoor climbing centre in the UK in the 90s. It’s a characterful roped climbing gym with routes for all and is part of Bristol’s DNA. I first climbed here on a beginners session 20 years ago … the team offer taster sessions, kids birthday parties, corporate events, and climbing instruction from newbies to experienced. Lots of routes for top roping and leading. Climbing is a great sport for people of all abilities. And it helps develop resilience & confidence.
