What visitors say
We visited here to go to the pleasure beach and also visit with family. We stayed in 15 banks court and The caravan had 2 toilets . It ws clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. If you are coming with a few adults I recommend this caravan as it has 2 toilets and on a corner plot. For being a bronze caravan it was well equipped. The 3rd bedroom is very small but ok for your youngest kids. Facilities on site were good. The shop was well stocked and reasonably priced for a caravan site. The pool was good. We ate at the boathouse which was fine service was quick. We would come back and stay again so we could visit family.

Haven Marton Mere Holiday Village: Balanced Review Situated on Mythop Road, Haven Marton Mere Holiday Village offers a distinct blend of active family resort amenities and natural scenery, positioned right alongside the protected Marton Mere Local Nature Reserve. Its location—roughly 3 miles from Blackpool’s promenade and Pleasure Beach—makes it a popular base for families who want easy access to the town's key attractions without staying in the noisy town centre. The Positives: What Works Well Location & Setting: The adjacent nature reserve provides pleasant walking trails and birdwatching opportunities, creating a peaceful backdrop that sets Marton Mere apart from more urban parks. Family Activities: On-site facilities cater heavily to children, featuring an indoor heated pool, outdoor SplashZone with a lazy river and Space Bowl flume (seasonal), adventure golf, multi-sports court, arcade, and climbing wall. Entertainment & Dining: The venue hosts structured daytime and evening shows for all ages. Food options include The Boathouse restaurant, Cook’s Fish and Chips, and a well-stocked mini-market. Accommodation Range: Offers various static caravan tiers (from budget-friendly Saver/Bronze to higher-grade Silver, Gold, and luxury lodges), giving guests flexibility based on group size and budget. The Drawbacks: Areas for Improvement Peak Season Congestion: During school holidays and summer weekends, central areas like the arcades, restaurant, and pool can feel very crowded. Activity & Pool Booking Constraints: Swimming slots must be booked in advance online; during busy periods, desirable time slots fill up quickly, requiring early planning. Location Without a Car: While convenient by road, the park is a few miles inland. Guests relying on local taxis to get to the seafront or Pleasure Beach will incur extra costs (£10–£15 each way). Touring Pitch Variances: Guests using motorhome or touring caravan pitches occasionally report uneven ground or drainage issues after heavy rain compared to the permanent static caravan sections.Final Verdict Haven Marton Mere Holiday Village is an ideal fit for families seeking an action-packed break with plenty of entertainment on-site while remaining close to Blackpool's main seaside attractions. While peak times require forward planning for pool bookings and dining, the combination of nature trails and resort amenities provides a well-rounded holiday experience.

Overall this haven site is lovely. The staff are super helpful. And the location is wonderful for quick access to blackpool pleasure beach. Unfortunately what lets this site down is the clientele. We are from London and usually visit haven sites in Sussex, or Kent. And we have never experienced such behaviour. Children left unsupervised in parks etc, I have a 5 year old who was constantly picked on by older children in the parks. Caravan was great, a little on the small side but had everything we needed.

Had a lovely time nothing wrong with the caravans. They are fine clean and tidy. Highlights are leaving the park as there wasn't much for kids to do almost no children play parks at all. There's a fairly decent arcade... Think it would be better for families if there was more play parks and say remove 10 caravans in different parts of the park for player areas. But that's me don't really go on holiday to play bingo.
