Fabulous location with plenty of parking. We went for the Golf which was excellent, a testing 18 hole course with plenty of challenges to suit everyone. The guys in the golf shop were extremely helpful and pleasant. Reception was lovely and easy to book in and out. My room was spacious and tidied every day even though I didn't request, thank you. Breakfast was fabulous and kept us full until dinner. We were looked after by the fabulous Dot and her assistant Cal. Dot really gave everyone her full attention, nothing was too much trouble. Dinner unfortunately was very lapse, the first two nights we had to wait an extremely long time even though it was all pre-ordered. The last two nights were better.

I previously left a review after our booking was unfortunately double-booked and we were turned away. However, the staff later contacted me and kindly arranged another stay for us, giving us the opportunity to experience the hotel properly. After staying and using the facilities, I can honestly say the hotel is beautiful. It is well-equipped for families, couples, and even friends looking for a relaxing getaway. The pools were lovely, and the sauna and steam room were a fantastic addition. The food was delicious, and throughout our stay the hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Although our first experience was disappointing, the way the staff handled the situation and made things right really impressed me. After returning and enjoying everything the hotel has to offer, I would definitely book again. We had a wonderful stay, and it turned out to be a beautiful experience overall.

Hotel overall is ok for a short break, location is spot on as right next to the zoo, and features a golf course and swimming pool facilities which are great. On entering the room it felt quite basic and a little tired, there was a large space where I felt another item of furniture should have been (a chair or a table). We resorted to using the ironing board as another surface for our luggage. Plug sockets next to the bed would have been nice aswell, but this shows the age of the hotel. Wehad breakfast and evening meal every day. The breakfast was great, good selection and helpful staff every morning which was noticed. Busy but more than enough room and food to cater for everyone. The eving meals were in the pub and grill which was generally ok. Some of the staff weren't great, and the service was very slow at times, which meant having to remind them to send out our desserts etc. It seemed to me that more training was needed and there are a couple of people behind the bar that were obviously not meant to be working in customer service. The food was good quality, albeit very expensive for what it was. Drinks were good price during the happy hour (5-7pm weekdays) but expensive otherwise. Swimming pool was good, there's also an outdoor one which is heated which we enjoyed. Very child friendly hotel, we enjoyed our stay, but as I've mentioned, some slight improvements from my perspective.

Great pools indoor and outdoor. Really comfortable beds. Bathroom had a shower and a bath. Which is great for kids. Room was very nice. Breakfast was really very good too. Choices for all. Food in the bar was the only part we were disappointed with. Not enough to put us off staying again though.
