About Bamford House
Bamford House suits travellers after a straightforward, no-fuss base for a Blackpool break rather than a formal hotel stay. It's a small guesthouse on York Street with just 12 rooms, each en-suite and kept bright and simply furnished, with family rooms available for those travelling in a group. There's a 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals, plus drinks available in the room for a low-key end to the day.
Downstairs, the lounge bar gives guests somewhere informal to gather for a drink without heading out, and free WiFi runs throughout the property. It's a casual sort of place, more about comfort and convenience than polish, which suits anyone who wants a relaxed atmosphere over anything grand.
Blackpool Tower is within easy reach as a point of interest, and Blackpool North station is around 1.06 miles away, making it manageable without a car. The surrounding area also offers golf, fishing, cycling and walking routes, along with nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment for evenings out.

What an absolute pit!!! We didn't see the owners once. The noise from room 8 was unbelievable, she started phone calls at 5am which woke everyone up. The bedding and towels were not changed once during our 4 night stay. There was stench coming from the drain in the shower which had mould. I think the British safety standards would shut the place down if they seen the ceiling tiles (which i thought were banned in the UK). Don't stay here.

The only thing the Bamford has in its favour is that it is close to the beach promenade! It can't be called a hotel: no reception/staff; very basic room, no room servicing (we had to buy toilet roll), smell from the shower drain was awful; bar area locked even though that was the only area signed for eating takeaway, no breakfast; we started to wonder who else was staying there with people coming and going all night and audible phone calls at 5am from room 8! If all you need is a place to kip after a night out then go for it, otherwise, avoid! Sadly the place, and the street, looks totally in decline.

We turn up Friday tea time ,horrible weather and slightly delayed .host was at the Doctor's, fair enough, we waited in the car , than we seen the first door open .we phoned and was told where the key was , we went to our room , tidy ,clean I prefer to support small businesses than a big hotel , we never met our host ,i found this disappointing we never had our tea and coffee, milk topped up , there was no one around to ask , we could of phoned , we left again no one in sight the key back where we found it , we have stayed before afew years ago but I dont think it is the same people .
