About Blarney Stone
Blarney Stone is a modest, family-run-style hotel on Alexandra Road, offering just 13 rooms within easy reach of Blackpool's seafront attractions. Its compact size makes it a straightforward base rather than a grand affair, suited to guests who want somewhere simple to rest between days out.
Rooms come with free WiFi and air conditioning, and luggage storage is available for those arriving early or leaving late. Parking is provided on site, which is a practical plus in a town where street parking near the attractions can be tricky. The hotel itself doesn't run extensive facilities beyond the basics, but pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries are all nearby, so guests aren't short of options for food and drink.
The location puts Blackpool Tower and Pleasure Beach within easy access, and there's plenty else nearby too, including golf, fishing, cycling and walking areas, as well as watersports and entertainment venues. Feedback on the property has been mixed, with a rating of 3.1 from 35 reviews, suggesting it suits those prioritising location and value over polish.

This stay was absolutely disgusting! We arrived at the hotel and had to make our way down a very thin drive way to park, nobody was answering and there was no reception, the painter working on the hotel had to show us to our rooms that just ‘ has a key in the door’. We booked 3 double rooms and only got 2 so we all had to share rooms, the rooms were very dirty, a wet damp patch in the corner, the windows either didn’t have curtains or they barely covered the windows. Drug users were staying in the hotel which made us feel very unsafe as the hotel doors didn’t even lock! The beds were very uncomfortable and unclean. The pictures online are not how the hotel actually looks. There was no working kettle, tea or coffee. The plug sockets were just about hanging on so we couldn’t use them and the bar area is full of waste, you couldn’t even see the floor! If they are doing work to the hotel, this is fine but the hotel should be shut ! The owner was unable to be reached as he turned his phone off. I normally don’t care about where I stay but this was awful.

Absolutely awful hotel, I have never seen anything like this before. Planned a one night stay in Blackpool as we haven’t been able to get away much for the past two years. Look at this place and the photos seemed nice and it looked very clean, DO NOT believe the photos, the only thing that was correct on these was the 1970s carpet! Our room was room 7. A box room, the mattress didn’t fit the bed frame properly. Used chewing gum stuck on top of the reading light, paint was chipping off the shelf, seagull poo all over the top of the wardrobe and the “flat screen” television. Which I don’t understand because it’s on the other side of the room. More poo down the radiator and draws. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Didn’t get any coffee/tea cups in our room. Had to work around charging all our things with ONE plug socket. The toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. The sink tap was fitted backwards burnt my mouth while brushing my teeth, the shower went absolutely piping hot and burnt my back. No staff or managers to be seen anywhere. The place smelt rotten and damp. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Oh my word i dont even know were to start with this "hotel". From the outside it looks derelict the windows are absolutely filthy, one of the windows that was open was hanging off! Entered building went to 1 of our rooms got the key from key box as no one is there to check u in you just do it all your self with codes! We went into the room it was absolutely disgusting were they had painted it was all splashed over the lampshades at the side of the bed. There was stains and marks on all the furniture it was very very unclean in fact im not sure it had been cleaned at all. The carpet pattern had either been wore away or eaten away! We couldnt decide. Could not use the shower if we even wanted to as it just ran cold. We had 2 rooms so we went to the 2nd room and there was no key in the key box. Great! After numerous phone calls and speaking to someone in the building. It had been taken with the people previously in the room we had to wait 3-4 hours for it to be sorted and to be honest it wasnt much better than the first room we had already been to. We paid 275.50 for 2 rooms for 2 nights for an absolute dump! I would 100% not recommend or stay in any of the OYO hotels! Stay clear and save your money!

Good location but was a mission to get into the car park. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The facilities are good. Free quality toiletries and tea and coffee free in the room. The best £20 I have spent in a long time. Thank you 😁
