About Grand Hotel Blackpool
Grand Hotel Blackpool is a substantial seven-floor building on the North Promenade, one of the town's bigger hotels with 278 rooms and the kind of scale that suits coach parties, weddings and family breaks alike. Many rooms look out over the sea, and there's a bridal suite and function space for those planning a wedding, alongside family rooms and accessible rooms for other guests.
Rooms are generally spacious and represent good value for the price, though some are showing their age and could do with updating. On-site facilities run to a restaurant, bar, room service, an indoor swimming pool, gym and spa, plus breakfast, kids' meals, free WiFi and an electric vehicle charge point. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. On-site parking is available but chargeable.
The location on North Promenade puts Blackpool Tower and the seafront attractions within easy reach, with plenty of pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, as well as golf, fishing, cycling and walking routes for those wanting to get further afield.

What guests say
We paid a lot of money for an “executive room”, but the room was small and cramped, I get bigger rooms in London for this price! No air conditioning, grimy and lots of wind noise resulting in 2 nights of lousy sleep. What was meant to be executive about this room I’ve no idea as there were none of the niceties you’d expect for this price level. Even the bathroom and drinking glasses were plastic disposable instead of the real thing. It was like a room straight out of the 70’s. Honestly we’ve stayed in better Travelodges. The hotel restaurant wasn’t even open and we were told to have a takeaway delivered! The main entrance revolving door to the hotel wasn’t working so guests are directed to a side door via a small passage which stunk of cigarettes as this was the place where smokers gathered kindly sharing the stench to which non-smoking guests are subjected to, we called it “smoker’s alley”. The final straw was when we asked why our room hadn’t been serviced on our first day, the reply was they are only serviced EVERY 4 DAYS!!! Two hundred quid plus per night for an “executive room” and only cleaned every 4 days!! This means if you are unlucky enough to have to stay a week in this shambles your room will only be cleaned ONCE!! What a joke. Trying to think of a single positive point - breakfast was nice, but that’s it, we won’t be back.

A large crowd of us were here this week for a conference. The different halls were brilliant for what we required. Clear directions to each conference room. The staff were all a delight. Everyone would start friendly conversations and were more than happy to help with anything if you needed them. My only complaints would be the rooms and the food. The food was not up to much in terms of lunch provided, quite bland at times. However breakfast had a huge variety of options. The rooms were quite grimy, when I arrived there were lipstick stains and other marks very clearly on the bed sheets and milk (or something) stains down the side of the fridge. It also didn't look as though the floors had been hoovered properly. The next day, the bed was made, but still had the same stained sheets and towels had been replaced. No surfaces had been wiped down, tea and coffee had not been restocked either. I was not the only one to have similar complaints, there were 5 in our specific group, each person had a different account of what had or had not been cleaned in the rooms and so did other guests.

Someone recommended this hotel to me on TikTok, and it was rated 4 stars when I booked. When I arrived, it exceeded my expectations honestly, this hotel feels like a 5-star experience. Make sure you book the sea view 😊 They have a swimming pool (additional £2 charge) and a free gym. The hotel is very clean, spacious, and beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay

Great hotel. Went on the motorbike 🏍 which was free to park👍was busy on check in. Which was a bit slow. However once done and in. The room was lovely but the windows didn't open. The lock was broken and screwed shut🤬the bar was great and the staff were friendly and sorted any drama out. Definitely revisit
