About Iona Hotel

Blackpool draws visitors for its seafront attractions, and Iona Hotel offers a no-frills base within reach of the Tower and Pleasure Beach. Set on Vance Road, it gives guests on-site parking, which is a genuine advantage in a town where street parking can be tricky during busy periods.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks facilities, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. Breakfast is included, and free WiFi runs throughout. Practical extras such as 24 hour reception, luggage storage and a laundry service make it a sensible choice for short breaks or longer stays where convenience matters more than luxury.

Beyond the hotel, the area has pubs, restaurants and entertainment venues within easy walking distance, along with golf, fishing and watersports for those wanting to fill their days actively. Walking routes nearby suit anyone keen to explore the coastline on foot. It's a functional, well-placed option for seeing Blackpool without unnecessary extras.

Pleasantly surprised, after reading some of the reviews I was not expecting much. The room was clean and recently decorated, plenty of pillows and towels. Could do with a little bedside table as there was no table at all and nowhere to put some of our things. I wasn’t bothered about not having tea and coffee facilities as I didn’t stay in the room at all during the day, exploring all the Blackpool attractions and city centre which were in a very close proximity. The breakfast was good, nice fresh coffee and all the pastries, pancakes, bread, cheese etc fresh each morning. The room could benefit from having an air conditioner as it was pretty hot in the room and we couldn’t keep the window open at night as there was a lot of noice outside, mostly from seagulls.

Absolutely fantastic. Staff were lovely and polite. Our room was spacious and clean. We were close to the beach and most of the attractions. We loved the continental breakfast each morning. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

On arrival my mum give her name she was handed a key and was left to find her own room she also had my girls with her. The room was very pokey her bed was very uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean but the toilet seat was lose. When going down for breakfast there was a man sat there never once told them to help yourself or if they were getting a cooked breakfast. Will not be booking here again could also do with tea and coffee making facilities in the room. 0 For customer service 0 For comfort 0 For breakfast 😠😠😠😠😠😠

Myself and my wife went for a night out on Saturday 22/10/18. The only good thing about the place is the location. The place needs a good clean very dusty in the bedroom we had two tvs full of dust don't know why there was two. The shower room there was mould around the edge of the shower tray the taps on the sink didnt work properly the toilet could do with a good clean. The matress was uncomfortable as the springs had broken. The breakfast was continental which was very poor and there was a strange man hanging about in the dining room eating his breakfast apparently he was the owner. His management skills was disgraceful he didn't introduce himself he didn't say help yourself he sat there not a word said to any of his guests. The place is very dated so we will not be returning.
